Lakota Lockup Project Holds Third Talking Circle

This past December 21st, LLUP held a third Talking Circle in Rapid City, South Dakota, involving about 20 participants. A meal and door prizes were provided to all who attended the event. Robert Horse Stands Waiting and Phillip Yellowbird Still called in from Durfee State Prison in Sprinfield, SD. Stephanie Yellow Eagle and Stacey Low Dog share about their work for indigenous justice. LLUP participants left the event full of good food and a better understanding of each other. Talking Circles, both in the community as well as in prison, are planned throughout the year.
